Project Details
This urban villa is shaped by the clients’ twin passions: civic life and art collecting. T the owners’ request, its monumental scale and form are contemporary yet influenced by Italian Renaissance villas.
The firm worked closely with glass artist Ed Carpenter to create a glass sculpture that is integrated into the building.
Interiors
Jim Olson and Tom Kundig both contributed to custom-designed furniture for this home: Jim designed a coffee table and end tables for the living room, while Tom designed two secretaries for the master bedroom. Notable antiques include Jules Leleu and Andre Arbus pieces, and a dining table from the boardroom of the Chrysler Building in New York. Custom furniture by Jean Jongeward, including the settees in the living room, were refurbished as part of the project.
