Project Details

Materials are expressive of function in this single family home in eastern Washington. Private areas on the first floor, including guest bedrooms and offices, are cloaked in untreated steel. As the steel-clad portion rises to encompass private areas on the second floor, a glass-enclosed ground-floor living area floats above a natural ravine of basalt rim rock, and overlooks the river and distant mountains.
