Project Details
The new Fitness Center is an addition to an existing athletic and recreational facility on the Seattle University campus. It provides much needed student-use areas for fitness equipment, exercise studios, and locker rooms. The project helps to activate 14th Avenue with more pedestrian movement to the south end of the block, and provides significantly more window area, allowing exercisers to view street activity as well as making activity within visible from the street.
This project was designed to LEED Gold standards (certification is pending) with significant sustainable features including optimized energy/water savings, improved indoor air quality, and recycled-content interior building materials.
