This book invites the reader into the elegant Seattle home of influential art collector Barney A. Ebsworth, owner of one of the most important private collections of modern American art. The house was designed specifically for the collection, which includes important paintings and sculptures by Hopper, deKooning, Pollock, O’Keefe, Johns, Hockney and Calder among many others. Included are photographs of the art as placed inside the home as well as beautiful color reproductions of each piece. The book concludes with an essay by Franklin Kelly, a curator at The National Gallery of Art.
