Project Details
Spread over a single floor in a Hong Kong office tower, this toy company headquarters remodel encompasses a lobby, toy showroom, conference room and offices. The goal of the design is to provide a natural-toned background that serves as a neutral canvas to the bright toys, and to give toys the space and lighting needed to highlight their individuality.
Olson Kundig designed a sculpture for the CEO’s office, based one of the company’s foam projectiles, and commissioned photographer Marsha Burns to create portraits of the company’s vintage toys to hang in the lobby. The showroom features an acid-etched glass backdrop and glass shelving.
