Project Details
This exhibit documents the history of two competing hospitals and their eventual merger in 1994. Although the story includes events that suggest a strong cooperative spirit, the exhibit also documents religious prejudice, political upheaval and medical epidemics that mirror similar events in our lives today. The narrative is largely based on a series of journals, called the “Chronicles,” written by the Sisters of Providence. The exhibit includes artifacts, excerpts from the chronicles, murals and photographs.
