Project Details
This concept was developed for a design competition for a residence in China. The site is a hillside flanked by mountains and with panoramic views overlooking the South China Sea, and it enjoys temperate breezes and lush subtropical vegetation.
The architecture is designed to be in harmony with its surroundings; providing both prospect and refuge while demonstrating a deep reverence for nature. Cozy, comfortable, “nest-like” spaces complement airy glass-enclosed rooms that feel like observatories, encompassing views of nature in all directions and evoking the feel of being suspended in mid-air.
