Project Details

The Island Beach Lodge is nestled in a 10 acre wooded site overlooking the southern end of a large island. The proposed lodge, guest suites and cabins are designed to enhance visitors’ interaction with nature. Because experiencing the ecosystem of the site is central to the design, minimizing damage to the forest is critical. Views are created through the buildings to the sea, and rooms reach into the tree canopy or hover above the ground, maintaining critical habitat on the forest floor.
